                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED SOUTHWEST FROM EAST 24TH STREET,
                   BETWEEN DODDS AVENUE AND 12TH AVENUE, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located southwest from East 24th Street, 

         between Dodds Avenue and 12th Avenue, more particularly 
described
         herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part
         hereof by reference:
               
                A 10 foot wide alleyway beginning on the southwest
                line of East 24th Street 145 feet southeast of the
                intersection of the southwest line of East 24th
                Street with the southeast line of Dodds Avenue, and
                extending southwest 50 feet between parallel lines,
                and parallel to Dodds Avenue, to the southwest line
                (if extended) of lots 1 and 24, Curtis Addition to
                Ridgedale, as shown by plat of record in plat book
                2, page 12, ROHC.  Said alleyway separates said lot
                1 from said lot 24.  Tax Map No. 156K-B-27 and 28.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
